DoNowWarmups is operated by Quackenworth Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected.

1. Scope and Compliance

The Service is intended for use by schools, teachers, and students in grades K–12.

We comply with:

  • The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
  • The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
  • Applicable U.S. state student data privacy laws

2. COPPA School Consent

Students under 13 may use the Service only with authorization from their school or teacher.

The school acts as the parent's agent for purposes of providing consent under COPPA.

3. Information We Collect

Student Information

We collect only information necessary for classroom use:

  • Student name
  • School-issued email address
  • Responses to Do Now activities, warmups, or exit tickets

This information is required to participate in the Service.

Teacher Information

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Account credentials

4. How Information Is Used

Information is used solely to:

  • Provide classroom instructional functionality
  • Allow teachers to assign and review student work
  • Maintain security and account access

We do not use student data for:

  • Advertising
  • Marketing
  • Behavioral profiling
  • Artificial intelligence or machine-learning training

5. Analytics

We use limited analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics, solely to:

  • Monitor site performance
  • Improve reliability and functionality

Analytics data is aggregated and not used to identify or profile students.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

Information may be shared only with:

  • Service providers necessary to operate the platform
  • Authorized school personnel
  • When required by law

7. Data Storage and Security

  • All data is stored on servers located in the United States
  • We employ industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards

8. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Teachers control classroom data
  • Schools may request deletion of student data at any time
  • Data is deleted or archived at the end of a class or school year at the teacher's direction

9. FERPA Compliance

We act as a School Official under FERPA and:

  • Use student data only for educational purposes
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Assist schools with access, correction, or deletion requests

10. Payments

Only teachers or school districts may submit payment information.

Students are never asked to provide payment details.

11. Data Processing Agreement

We will provide and enter into a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with schools or districts upon request.

12. Policy Updates

Material changes to this Privacy Policy will be communicated to schools.
