English Language Arts covers reading comprehension, literary analysis, argument writing, grammar, and vocabulary. Do Now Warmups for ELA create consistent daily writing practice that prepares students for assessments and builds the analytical habits needed for college and career success.
Each ELA warmup is a 5–10 minute focused task. Prompts include close reading questions on short passages, quick-write opinion tasks, vocabulary in context, and grammar reviews. Teachers assign a prompt, students write a response, and teachers can review submissions before the main lesson begins.
Prompts align to CCSS Reading, Writing, Language, and Speaking & Listening strands across grade bands.
